Tolpuddle Vineyard Chardonnay reflects the cool maritime climate of Tasmania’s Coal River Valley, grown on gently sloping, north-east facing soils of light silica over sandstone. Hand-picked grapes are whole-bunch pressed and fermented in French oak, spending nine months in barrel with gentle stirring before resting on lees to enhance texture and depth. True to the Tolpuddle style, this Chardonnay is precise and elegant, with firm acidity, a light yet layered texture, and intense flavor. The 2024 vintage is particularly expressive, offering aromas of white flowers, juicy mandarin, and ripe white peach, complemented by a delicate hint of sea-spray.
After years of success with whole cluster carbonic fermentation on red grapes, Stolpman applied the technique to white grapes to craft Love You Bunches Orange. This refined blend combines Pinot Gris for depth and color, Orange Muscat for tropical aromatics, Tocai Friulano for texture and brightness, and Gewürztraminer for added color and exotic notes. Whole grapes are pressed after just seven days, allowing native fermentation to finish off the skins for a fresh, clean, and balanced orange wine, bottled early to preserve its vibrant character.

On the palate, it is taut and refreshing, with crisp acidity balanced by depth and texture from extended lees aging. While immediately appealing as an aperitif, its complexity and saline finish make it an excellent partner for smoked fish, shellfish, or delicate seafood dishes, offering both freshness and sophistication in the glass.
